The exams have been deferred following the demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Wednesday. His last rites will be performed today in Baramati.

In view of the funeral and the large number of people expected to travel to Baramati from across the state for the final rites, several educational institutions in the Baramati are also likely to remain closed.

Considering these circumstances, SPPU has postponed examinations of all courses scheduled in both sessions under the winter session 2025. The university clarified that a revised examination timetable will be announced separately.

Dr. Prabhakar Desai, In-charge Director of the University’s Board of Examinations and Evaluation, said affiliated colleges and institutions have been instructed to promptly inform students and teachers about the postponement to avoid inconvenience.
