Tathapi Trust launches website to address violence against women

ST CORRESPONDENT

PUNE: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, Tathapi Trust, a Pune-based organisation working in the field of sexuality and disability, will be launching its new website to address the violence faced by women. The new website violencenomore.in will function as a platform for women to know more, as well as talk about violence.

“For the past few years, Tathapi has been working towards spreading awareness about sexuality, especially among the youth with the help of Internet and social media. The organisation already has a website letstalksexuality.com, where issues like equality, consent, security, privacy, etc, are being discussed. On similar lines, we have developed a new website to talk about violence against women,” said Achyut Borgavkar of Tathapi.

The website will provide necessary information to help women deal with different kinds of violence. The women going through such ordeals of violence will also be able to connect with organisations or individuals, who provide help, legal or otherwise.
