VPSEM students send rakhis to soldiers

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: Students of Vidya Pratishthan’s Someshwar English Medium (VPSEM) School have sent rakhis to their soldier brothers this year to salute their courage of protecting the borders of the country.

To inculcate patriotism, tolerance and national integrity in students, the initiative of ‘rakhi making’ is taken by the school every year.

The students make rakhis by using eco-friendly material and write messages on them giving best wishes on the occasion of ‘Rakhi Pournima’ to the soldiers.

School teachers Nirmala Pomane and Priti Chavan guided the students in this activity while Principal Sachin Pathak encouraged the students in this initiative.
