GM Saptarshi Roy tames ‘blackdog’ in Round 8

Pune: Saptarshi Roy finally reached the place he deserved which is on top as he ended with a clear lead of half a point over the rest of the field in the Late Bharatbai Halkude Memorial 1st All India Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on Wednesday. 

In the eighth round, Roy brought down overnight leader Gaurav Zagade in an almost one sided game.
