Ikram Khan wins Silver Div title with a card of 78

PUNE: Passionate golfer and former Maharashtra hockey player Ikram Khan fired one birdie in his round of 78 earning himself 44 stableford points and the Silver Division trophy in the Phoenix Market City Golf tournament at the Poona Club Golf course here on Saturday.

Though birdie did not matter in a tournament played in Stableford format, Ikram, who had the recorded handicap of 15, tallied 44 points to win the title ahead of Rajat Budharaja (39).

Pratik Nirmale, who tallied 37 points, won the Gold Division title, while Rommel Majumdar settled for the runners-up trophy.

RESULTS:
Gold Division (Handicap 0-9): 1. Pratik Nirmale 37 pts, 2. Rommel Majumdar 34.
Silver Division (Handicap 10-18): 1. Ikram Khan 44 pts, 2. Rajat Budharaja 39.
Bronze Division (Handicap 19-30): 1. KK Guilani 45 pts, 2. Urja Saini 43.
Best Junior: Shradha Goyal 36 pts.
Wooden spoon: Thaku Chugani 10 pts.
Nearest to the pin (Hole No 4): Ratnakar Karve 3 ft 6 in.
Straightest drive (Hole No 3): Kumar Chandragupta on-the-line.
Longest drive (Hole No 18): Aaron Rocky 280 yards
