India vs Pakistan Cricket Score Asia Cup 2025 Highlights: Dubai witnessed a one-sided affair as India dismantled arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets at the Asia Cup 2025. The "archrivalry" felt like a "damp squib," as India, powered by its spin attack and a headed batting approach, chased down a meager 128-run target with 25 balls to spare. The match was marked by palpable nervousness in both the camps, with India's skipper Suryakumar Yadav refusing the customary post-match handshake, and walking straight to the dugout.

Pakistan's decision to bat first after winning the toss proved to be a critical misjudgment. The innings got off to a disastrous start, with Hardik Pandya striking on the very first legal delivery to dismiss Saim Ayub for a golden duck. Jasprit Bumrah then joined the action, removing Mohammad Haris. However, the real damage was inflicted by India's spinners.

A rare 12-over spell of spin, saw Pakistan lose six wickets for just 57 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was in the groove with his three-wicket haul, while Axar Patel and Varun Chakaravarthy contributed effectively, ensuring Pakistan never settled. The only resistance came from Sahibzada Farhan (40 off 44) and a late flurry from Shaheen Afridi, who smashed 33 off 16 balls, including four sixes, to drag the total to 127/9.

The Indian chase seemed to start off in full gear as Abhishek Sharma, smashed the first two deliveries from Shaheen Afridi for a four and a six. Shubman Gill also found two quick boundaries before being stumped by a carrom ball from Saim Ayub. Abhishek continued his onslaught, scoring 31 off just 13 balls. His innings set the play for India to finish hings off without taking any unnecessary caution.

Despite the loss of openers, India's momentum never faltered. Suryakumar Yadav (47 not out) and Tilak Varma (31) put on a comfortable 56-run partnership for the third wicket. They rotated the strike with ease maintaining a steady run-a-ball pace that left Pakistan with no room to get back. While Suryakumar remained composed, Tilak Varma was eventually bowled by Saim Ayub, who was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, claiming three wickets for 35 runs.

The match showcased a significant difference in quality between the two teams. The performance was driven not by emotion but by professionalism. India's bowling attack, featuring Jasprit Bumrah and a trio of spinners, proved to be superior.

Man for man, the difference in quality between the personnel of both sides seemed too big a situation. Pakistan, would be planning to go back to the drawing board, and put a check on their execution, especially to a team that made defeating their adversary a piece of cake.
