Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Wednesday

He took to Twitter to announce his retirement.

Parthiv played in 25 Tests, 38 ODIs and a couple of T20Is for Men in Blues. In domestic cricket, the 35-year-old played 194-first class games for Gujarat.

He walked the ground of Test cricket at the age of just 17.He played 25 Tests for India with 934 runs from his willow and 62 catches on his name. In the 50-over format, he played 38 games to bag 736 runs and 30 catches. Talking about the first-class cricket, he has scored 10,797 runs from 187 matches at an average of 43.36.

He also played for multiple IPL (Indian Premier League) clubs starting from Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural edition. He also led Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 2011 season. Later, he joined Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
