Pune: St Vincent’s High School defeated Loyola High School 4-2 in the semi-finals of the Under-17 category of the Bishop’s Invitational football tournament in progress at Jeejeebhoy ground on Saturday.

Mairay Awad from St Vincent’s scored thrice in the 15th, 31st and 53rd minutes while Atharv Lonkar scored one goal in the 38th minute.

For Loyola High School, Atharva Paigude scored one goal in the 4th minute and Suryan Ghatge scored the second goal in the 48th minute of the game.

In the second semifinal encounter, hosts Bishop’s Camp defeated Bishop’s Kalyaninagar 1-0. 

Ishan Chitale scored the lone goal for the Camp outfit in the 5th minute.

In the Under-12 matches being played at Bishop’s Co-ed School, Undri, Vibgyor School, NIBM beat Hutchings High School 3-0. Sahit Bellara (11th), Arush Jain (14th) and Evan Rozario (23rd) struck for the winners.

In another match, The Bishop’s School, Camp beat Kalyani School, Manjari 4-0 to enter the next round. 

Eric Arland scored two goals in the 3rd and 24th minutes while Aariz Shaikh added two more in the 7th and 29th minutes.

Later in an Under-14 encounter, Hutchings Camp defeated VP Magarpatta School 1-0 with Ansh Waghmare scoring the lone goal in the 25th minute.
