India is on the cusp of a significant milestone in sustainable transportation with the imminent launch of its first hydrogen-powered train. Scheduled to enter service by March 25, 2025, this train is part of India's broader initiative to adopt green energy solutions and reduce carbon emissions.

The train is being manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, a leading facility for rail coach production in India.
