Apple’s iPhone 17 launch: Apple's new iPhone launches never fail to draw crowds in India. This time, the launch of the iPhone 17 at the company's flagship BKC store in Mumbai witnessed a scuffle among waiting customers, turning the much-anticipated release into a scene of chaos.

Hundreds had queued up overnight on Friday outside the Apple store, eager to be among the first to grab the iPhone 17. However, tempers flared early Friday morning between 7 and 8 am when a fight reportedly broke out after a customer allegedly tried to jump the queue.

A viral video circulating on social media shows two individuals exchanging punches and slaps while hurling abuses at each other, as others around them attempt to intervene. The situation escalated quickly, forcing store security to step in and break up the scuffle.

Similar scenes unfolded in New Delhi, where crowds gathered overnight outside the Apple store at Select Citywalk Mall in Saket. According to ANI, eager buyers waited for hours to get their hands on the latest iPhone 17 models, reflecting the high demand and high tension, surrounding the launch across India.

Apple launches the iPhone 17 across India

Apple's most recent launch on Friday features the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Max, AirPods 3, Watch Series 11, Watch SE3, and Watch Ultra 3. These new gadgets were introduced on September 9, 2025, at Apple's 'Awe Dropping' event.

As numerous individuals eagerly anticipated entering Apple's flagship BKC store, a few patrons inside already possessed the new products. Those who successfully purchased the devices voiced dissatisfaction with the insufficient security measures outside the store.

As excitement for the flagship iPhone series surged, many individuals were spotted queuing outside Apple stores, eager to be among the first to buy the new lineup as soon as the doors opened.
