Amid ongoing speculation around OnePlus’ future, new reports suggest that Oppo has brought OnePlus and Realme together under a single business unit as part of a wider restructuring effort. The development follows recent leadership changes, including the departure of OnePlus India CEO Robin Liu, though the company has stated that its operations continue as usual.

According to industry reports, both brands will now function under a unified “sub-product center,” combining their operations across China and global markets. The move is aimed at improving efficiency, reducing duplication, and strengthening coordination as competition in the smartphone sector grows more intense.

The new structure is expected to integrate key functions such as product development, marketing, and after-sales services, while allowing OnePlus and Realme to retain their separate brand identities. Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, is likely to lead the new unit and report to OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau.

Experts believe this consolidation could help Oppo better align its resources, accelerate product development, and sharpen its strategy across different price segments.

With Realme focused on value-driven devices and OnePlus positioned in the premium category, the closer integration may enhance Oppo’s competitiveness in major markets, including India and Europe.
