Zero Gravity Partners, a Los Angeles-based company is all set to kick off its television division with a gripping limited series encapsulating the dramatic true life of a modern-day mass murderer, David Coleman Headley. It also features his boyhood friend and alleged accomplice in the 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai, Tahawwur Hussain Rana.
The series intends to create the gritty world and authenticity of espionage and terror, while exploring trust and the betrayal of relationships. Together, Headley and Rana slipped the radar of the world’s most powerful organisations and broke the moral code of the most sacred religions and relationships.
With a focus on not just producing and financing high-quality feature film and television projects for a broad appeal, but also creating diverse content to engage a global audience, the co-owners of the company Rohini Singh, Manmeet Singh and Mubina Rattonsey have cultivated a formidable slate of film and television content that includes this high-powered crime drama.
The makers say, “The story in its truth and raw emotion, is about an international spy who masterminded the 26/11 Mumbai massacre and his co-conspirator who provided material support to commit terrorist acts against multiple overseas targets. In the history of extremism, nothing seems quite as intriguing or quite as dangerous as free-roaming terrorists. We are excited to collaborate with filmmakers and talent from the US, India and across the globe.”
