Bosnia in Pune

Bosnia in Pune
Published on:

A photography exhibition depicting the beauty of Bosnia is being held in the city. The photographs displayed at the exhibition have been clicked by Prakash Bang, president of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Tourism in India and an advertising professional from Pune.

Bosnia has an identity as a European destination at an affordable price and therefore has a lot to offer to Indian tourists. In this exhibition, Bang not only captures nature’s beauty in Bosnia, but also the monuments, UNESCO sites, its culture and people. “Bosnia is such a beautiful place. Its nature is the best part about it,” says Bang who began clicking as a hobby at a very young age. “I must have been in Class V when my dad handed me a camera and I couldn’t put it down after that. I never received any formal training in photography but was always a keen learner,” he tells us.

Being an expensive hobby to pursue back then, Bang was dedicated to putting the camera to good use. “Over the years, I became better at it. And being in the travel industry, it only made things easier. Bosnia’s culture, its people and the nature are worth capturing and even visiting,” he says.

The exhibition was inaugurated by chief guest Girish Bapat, Guardian Minister of Pune, Pramod Chaudhari, President of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, in the presence of Dr Sabit Subasic, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Suhas Mantri, Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
