Actress Sonakshi Sinha explained her decision to keep her relationships private over the years, choosing to go public only when she found the person she wanted to marry. During an appearance on Prime Video's Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Sonakshi mentioned her belief in 'thoda nazar.' She tied the knot with actor Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 of last year.
Sonakshi Sinha discusses her belief in the concept of the evil eye
During the show, host Twinkle Khanna mentioned to Sonakshi that she has been open about her relationships and even confessed her love to Zaheer just a week after meeting him. Sonakshi responded, 'I have kept my relationships private because I believe in the concept of the evil eye. Honestly, I didn't want to make it public until I was sure I was going to marry this person, which is what happened with Zaheer.'
The actress mentioned that she felt an instant bond with Zaheer. "The moment I met him, it just clicked. I realized I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. So, within a week, I told him I loved him, and he thought I was out of my mind. He even called his best friend to say, 'I think she's mistaken, she's out of her mind!
Sonakshai wanted to marry Zaheer only a month after they first met.
Sonakshai mentioned that she informed Zaheer of her desire to marry him just a month after they met. 'Within a month, I told him, 'I'm going to marry you only.' And seven years later, we did get married. But I just knew. I have never felt like that with anybody else. And when I did feel it, I don't like to hide my feelings, so I went and told him. If he ran away, he ran away; clearly, he didn't. It worked out well,' she added.
Regarding Sonakshi and Zaheer
Sonakshi tied the knot with Zaheer on June 23 of the previous year, surrounded by family and friends at their home in Mumbai. The ceremony was a private affair. Following the wedding, a celebration was held at Bastian in Mumbai, attended by many Bollywood stars. Their wedding announcement stated, 'On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017), we gazed into each other's eyes and saw love in its truest form, choosing to cherish it.'
The upcoming movie featuring Sonakshi
Sonakshi is set to appear in the highly anticipated Telugu movie, Jatadhara, scheduled for a theatrical release on November 7. The film will be available in both Hindi and Telugu versions. Directed by Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara also stars Sudheer Babu and Shilpa Shirodkar.
