The team set out early on Sunday morning, traveling by car to Junnar. By 8:30 AM, they began their ascent to Jivdhan Fort, a site rich with Satvahana-era inscriptions. After exploring the fort, they moved to Naneghat, an ancient trade route known for its unique stone coin vaults used for tax collection during the era.
By mid-afternoon, the group started trekking to Chavandgad (Prasannagad), completing their exploration by 4:30 PM. They then headed to Shivneri Fort, known as the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort features attractions such as the Chain Gate, Buddhist caves, water reservoirs, and stone granaries.
