Pune: In an effort to raise awareness about healthy eating habits among children, the Ajinkya Shekdar Memorial Foundation’s "Mi Ajinkyach" initiative, in collaboration with "Prerana - Ek Kalamanch," staged an innovative play titled "Madhli Sutti" (Midday Break) at the Tilak Smarak Mandir.

The play aimed to teach children the importance of consuming nutritious food at the right time and being mindful of their eating habits, all while connecting these lessons with good health in a light-hearted and entertaining manner.

The cast included 13 children from various schools, supported by five adult actors. Through a blend of entertainment and education, the performance conveyed key health messages in a way that was both engaging and informative.

In addition to the play, a panel discussion followed, where experts provided valuable insights. Dr. Shireesha Sathe, a psychologist, along with Dr. Dinesh Nehete, a parenting coach and counselor, and Dr. Vibhusha Jambhekar, a dietician, guided the audience on topics related to children’s mental and physical health.

The Ajinkya Shekdar Memorial Foundation, which focuses on supporting the health of children, especially those suffering from serious illnesses like cancer, regularly organizes awareness campaigns and provides assistance to affected families.

Founders Nilesh Shekdar and Pragya Vaze emphasized that the foundation’s activities are aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of health and supporting families dealing with critical illnesses.
