Pune: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has taken a significant step toward ensuring the health and well-being of its officers and staff by inaugurating a dedicated police hospital in Kaveri Nagar, Wakad.
The facility was officially opened by Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, who highlighted the importance of such an initiative for the force.
Police officers often work under high-stress conditions, spending extended hours on duty to maintain law and order, especially during festivals and public events. Their commitment to public safety frequently comes at the expense of their own health, with little time left for self-care.
Recognizing these challenges, the Commissionerate has established a well-equipped hospital to provide medical care to its personnel.
Features of the Police Hospital
Location: Kaveri Nagar, Wakad
Medical Team: Includes Medical Officer Anupama Kamble, Dr. Sanjay Bharti, and six other staff members.
Support: Dr. Radhakrishna Pawar played a pivotal role in setting up the facility.
Beneficiaries: The hospital will cater to the 4,927 officers and staff members of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.
Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey stated that the hospital would address the physical and mental health issues arising from the demanding nature of police work.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to prioritize the well-being of the police force, which plays an essential role in maintaining public safety.
