Pune: Two couples, injured during their trips to Phuket and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, were successfully brought back to Pune for urgent medical treatment with the help of special flight services. The intervention of Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, ensured timely medical evacuation and assistance. Currently, both couples are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Pune.
In the first case, Shubham Phuge (27) and Siddhi Phuge (21), residents of Bhosari, had traveled to Phuket for a vacation. While enjoying a swing ride, they met with a serious accident, sustaining multiple fractures. They were admitted to a local hospital, but due to inadequate treatment facilities, they continued to suffer severe pain.
Recognizing the urgency, Minister Murlidhar Mohol intervened and arranged for their safe return to Pune.

The Lohpatre family, from Sinhagad Road, Pune, was on vacation in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Port Blair. On March 26 (Wednesday) evening, Shobhana Lohpatre suffered a severe road accident on a small island when a speeding vehicle hit her two-wheeler.
Since the island lacked proper medical facilities, urgent assistance was requested from Minister Murlidhar Mohol.
With government support, she was airlifted to Port Blair via an Indian Air Force special aircraft
From Port Blair, she was flown to Pune via an air ambulance
She arrived in Pune at 9 PM on March 28
A green corridor was created from Pune Airport to Poona Hospital, ensuring her quick transportation
Green Corridor Ensured Rapid Transfer to Hospital
To expedite medical treatment, Pune Traffic Police created a green corridor, allowing the injured tourists to reach the hospital in record time. The ambulance reached Poona Hospital from Pune Airport in just 13 minutes. The usual travel time of 30 to 40 minutes was reduced significantly. Traffic police from Airport, Yerawada, Shivajinagar, Deccan, and Vishrambaug divisions coordinated the movement.
Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation said, "Many people encounter unexpected difficulties while traveling abroad. Taking swift action in such cases is essential. I consider it my duty to assist those in need. Government agencies work with sensitivity to ensure help reaches those who require it."
Amol Zende, DCP (Traffic) Pune said, "The Pune traffic police efficiently managed the green corridor, reducing travel time significantly, ensuring swift medical assistance."
