Images of Netanyahu having coffee at 'The Sataf' cafe in Jerusalem were shared on Instagram, quickly capturing online attention and sparking discussions about the Israeli leader's health on social media.

The cafe posted alongside the photos, “We were very happy to host the Prime Minister and his office in Sataf today! Know which bakery to visit.” It also conveyed hopes for peace amid the ongoing regional conflict.

Rumours about Netanyahu’s death circulated online following US-Israeli strikes on Tehran, which reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Speculation claimed Iran might retaliate by targeting the Israeli PM, with unverified posts suggesting he was killed or injured.

A video from Netanyahu’s official social media further fueled claims, as some users alleged it showed him with six fingers, implying AI manipulation. Anadolu Agency later debunked the claim, saying the “sixth finger” was just a misleading screenshot.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office dismissed the rumours, calling them “fake news” and confirming that Netanyahu is safe. Official updates indicate he remains in Israel, actively coordinating the country’s response to the ongoing conflict.

Claim of AI-generated deepfake by Grok

A different video featuring Netanyahu speaking informally at a cafe sparked online debate. The debate intensified when Grok, the chatbot on X created by xAI, answered a user's question by asserting that the video was '100% deepfake.'

The chatbot claimed the video seemed to be created by AI and contended that there was no evidence of such an event occurring in reality. This response rapidly gained attention online, further fueling the uncertainty about the clip's authenticity.
