Impressions’ 18, cultural fest of CoEP, concludes

PUNE: Impressions' 18, the cultural fest of College of Engineering Pune (CoEP) concluded with three days of power-packed events

The theme for this year's fest was 70MM Lifesize, which was presented by Yono SBI. It was a peek into the evolution of Bollywood through the cinematic ages and was reflected in the décor and design of the fest.

Noted Marathi and Bollywood actor Sumeet Raghavan was the chief guest at the inauguration function.

A film-making workshop by India Film Project was also held. The dance competition was judged by Mayuresh Wadkar, actor from movie ABCD and of Dance India Dance TV show fame.

The TriArtLon, an Arts and Crafts module and High Current, a battle of bands were held on Day 2 of the fest. Also, MTV LinkedIn Get A Job set up a stall and do some shoots and interviews with a VJ from MTV. The day ended with a performance by Sukhan with enthralling Urdu shero-shayari and nazams, ghazals and qawwalis.

On Day 3, eliminations for SoDuEt, a solo-cum-duet dance competition, were also held with judge Kunal Phadke, a famous reality star. In the finals, the contestants endeavoured to impress Alisha Singh, famed for numerous reality shows like DID.

SunoSuno, the street play competition; Savani, the solo singing competition; and other fun events were held throughout the campus.

The valedictory ceremony had eminent actor Vikram Gokhale as Chief Guest. The ceremony concluded on a high note of joy and victory, with the grand finale being the KK Live-in concert at Phoenix Marketcity.

Other sponsors include Cosmos Bank, BSNL, LIC, Swiggy, T.I.M.E., Confetti Paper Studio, Tinder, Hero and Zeal. Media associates included brands like Insider, Sakal Times, ATKT.in, Carnival Cinemas, 9XM, Witty Feed and Inner Voice.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Folksy Classics, in which participants showcased traditional Indian dance forms, was judged by the talented Neha Muthiyan and the accomplished movie director Sai Paranjpye.
- Street Forward, the street dance contest was judged by members of the famed 13.13 crew, gold medalists of Hiphop International.
- Natyavachan,the script reading contest; Tee Two One Sold, a graphic T-shirt design contest; ComiKing, a laugh-off between stand-up comedians; Stay Tuned; Doodly Doo, the doodling contest; Limelight, a solo act competition, and finally, the Battle of DJs were the most sought after events of the fest.
