Pune, 10 February 2026: The long-delayed housing lottery of the MHADA Pune Board is set to be concluded today, bringing relief to over two lakh hopeful applicants. The results of the lottery for 4,186 homes will be announced at 12 pm on Tuesday at the Sharadchandra Pawar Hall of the Pune Zilla Parishad.
Under the draw, 3,322 homes were made available through the 20 per cent Inclusive Housing Scheme, while 864 homes were offered under the 15 per cent Integrated Housing Scheme. The lottery was originally expected to be conducted in October 2025 after registrations opened on September 11, following the publication of the advertisement earlier that month.
However, technical difficulties and an initially poor response led MHADA to extend the deadline twice. Although the draw was later pushed to December and eventually received a strong response, further delays occurred due to prolonged scrutiny of applications and the enforcement of the election code of conduct.
The repeated postponements had triggered widespread anger among applicants, who even staged protests demanding clarity.
Responding to the growing discontent, officials announced two days ago that the lottery would be held on February 10, immediately after the model code of conduct ended, offering much-needed assurance to applicants.
As per the official schedule, the lottery will be conducted by Pune Board Chairman Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, while MHADA Vice-President Sanjeev Jaiswal will attend the event through video conferencing. Applicants can watch the draw in person at the venue or follow the live webcast on YouTube.
The complete results will be published on MHADA’s official housing portal a few hours after the draw, and successful applicants will also be informed through SMS within minutes.
With the final announcement now just hours away, anticipation is running high among the 2.15 lakh-plus applicants, as many await the outcome that could finally turn their long-held dream of owning a home into reality.
