Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Ambadas Danve claimed that land reportedly worth around ₹1,800 crore was purchased for only ₹300 crore, while stamp duty of merely ₹500 was paid. He alleged that such a large gap between market value and the transaction price suggests serious irregularities.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Vijay Kumbhar made similar allegations, stating that a company linked to Parth Pawar purchased land in Pune’s Mundhwa locality for about ₹300 crore, even though its market value was “much higher.” Kumbhar also claimed that stamp duty of nearly ₹21 crore on the deal was waived.
He questioned why ordinary citizens pay lakhs in stamp duty for small flats, while “the ultra-rich receive special exemptions on land worth hundreds of crores.”

BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule said social activist Anjali Damania had informed him about the transaction and would soon submit a formal complaint. He added that matters related to stamp duty exemption fall under the State Industries Department.

The allegations have triggered a political storm in Maharashtra, as opposition parties continue to question how such a large land transaction in an upscale area like Pune could be completed with significantly reduced valuation and minimal duty.
