Pune, 6th January 2026: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML) has issued a circular banning unauthorised photography, videography, and reel-making on its buses and across its premises. The decision was taken to maintain administrative discipline and safeguard public trust in the city’s transport system.

According to PMPML officials, several instances have been observed where employees used mobile phones to record photos and videos during duty hours and shared them on social media using official logos and identity cards.

In some cases, drivers and conductors were also found allowing passengers to shoot videos and create reels inside buses, depots, and other PMPML facilities without permission.

The circular clearly states that no photos, videos, or reels of PMPML buses, premises, or operations can be created without prior official approval. Any violation will invite disciplinary action under service rules. Deputy chief managers have been instructed to ensure that these guidelines are strictly communicated to staff and private bus operators working under PMPML.

PMPML has also warned that police complaints will be filed against anyone found misusing the organisation’s logo, e-ticketing machines, identity cards, or buses for unauthorised social media content.

Chairman and Managing Director Pankaj Deore said that unauthorised social media content created during duty hours often presents a misleading image of the organisation. He added that PMPML’s buses, logos, identity cards, and operational systems cannot be used for personal publicity without official permission.
