Pune Crime: Gun Firing Leaves One Seriously Injured in Sahakarnagar

Two bike-borne assailants open fire near Shinde High School; Police probe motive behind attack

Pune, 11th June 2026: A man was seriously injured after two unidentified attackers opened fire on him in Sahakarnagar on Wednesday night. The incident took place around 9:30 pm near Shinde High School, triggering panic among residents and commuters in the vicinity.

According to preliminary information, the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and targeted a man who was standing near Bikaner Chowk. Armed with a pistol and a sharp weapon, the duo fired at the victim before fleeing towards the Taljai Vasahat area.

Local residents immediately rushed the injured man to a private hospital for treatment. His identity had not been officially confirmed at the time of reporting.

Following the incident, officers from Sahakarnagar Police Station and senior police officials reached the spot and began an investigation. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and collecting eyewitness accounts to trace the accused.

The exact motive behind the attack remains unclear. Authorities are investigating all possible angles and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the attackers.
