Many citizens reported that when they tried to book a new LPG cylinder through mobile apps, IVRS services, or WhatsApp platforms, the system displayed server errors or technical failure messages. As a result, customers have been unable to register new bookings.

With online systems not functioning, several residents visited gas agency offices and warehouses hoping to book cylinders offline. However, many agencies reportedly refused to provide cylinders, stating that the distribution system is fully dependent on the central online platform.

Gas distributors also avoided commenting on the issue. However, Shyam Raut, a representative from Moreshwar Gas Agency in Mohammadwadi, explained that the entire LPG distribution network is operated through an online system.

“The gas distribution process is completely integrated with the central online system. Cylinders can only be delivered to customers whose bookings are visible in our system. Due to the technical issue, we cannot provide cylinders to customers who come directly to the warehouse without a confirmed booking,” he said.

Residents say the sudden disruption has created serious inconvenience, particularly during cooking hours. Many households depend entirely on LPG cylinders for daily meals.

Savita Deshpande, a homemaker, said she tried to book a new cylinder online but the service was not working. She also visited the gas agency to register the booking in person but was told that the system was down and cylinders were unavailable.

“I tried to book the cylinder online but the service is not working. When I went to the agency, they said bookings are not being accepted and cylinders are unavailable. If we cannot book a cylinder in time, it becomes very difficult to manage cooking at home,” she said.
