According to the PMC, the disruption is necessary to carry out the shifting of the World Bank main water pipeline at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigdi, located within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits. In the Vadgaonsheri division, the shutdown will impact localities including Rukshe Vasti, Ganesh Nagar (Bopkhel), Kalas Malwadi, Ambedkar Colony, parts of Vishrantwadi, Sanjay Park, Burma Shell, Airport area, parts of Kharadi, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Society, Ahilya Nagar, Swatantrya Sainik Nagar, Hari Ganga Society, Sai Gram, Samaj Kalyan Hostel, Police Colony, Arogya Bhavan, Shanti Nagar, Bharat Nagar, Katarwadi, Pratik Nagar, JCD Park, Vrindavan Society, Uttam Township, Mittal Society, Dream Society, Jadhav Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar, Shramik Nagar, Kamgar Nagar and Chandrama Nagar.
