Loyola and Army Public School storm into semis

Pune: Ranapratap Deshmukh starred twice scoring a goal apiece in both quarterfinal and pre-quarterfinal matches as Loyola High School stormed into semi-finals of the Boy’s Under-17 category in the the Zilla Parishad football tournament at the Dobarwadi Ground here on Sunday.

Ranapratap struck in the 22nd minute in the quarterfinal against St Patrick’s High School as Loyola won 1-0 to make it to the semifinals.

Earlier in the pre-quarterfinal match Ranapratap scored in the 24th minute in putting out Pune Police Public School following solitary goal win.
Also making it to the semi-finals were Army Public School, Ghorpadi, after beating Bishop’s School, Camp 4-2 after both the teams were tied 0-0 at the end of the regulation time.
