What is AirTag?

The AirTag is a compact tracker that helps users locate personal items like keys and bags via Apple’s Find My app, which uses a vast network of Apple devices. The new AirTag features a significantly extended Bluetooth range, improving the chances of connecting to lost items over longer distances.

Apple AirTag: Price & Availability 

A single AirTag costs $29 (around Rs 2,662), while a pack of four is priced at $99 (around Rs 9,087). The device will be available through Apple's retail and online stores, as well as various authorised resellers.

Apple AirTag: How it works

Similar to its predecessor, the updated AirTag integrates with Apple's Find My app, which users already utilize to track iPhones, iPads, and other Apple gadgets. It connects via Bluetooth to Apple's extensive Find My network. When a misplaced item nears another Apple device, its location is automatically refreshed and relayed to the owner. Additionally, the finder can view a personalized message and contact number provided by the owner.
