The recruitment drive is being conducted for the Office Attendant cadre under the panel year 2025. According to the notification released by the RBI, candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board to be eligible. Applicants holding graduation or higher degrees are not permitted to apply, a condition that has drawn attention among aspirants preparing specifically for entry level government roles.

The age limit for applicants has been fixed between 18 and 25 years as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms. The posts are spread across several RBI offices including major centres such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Guwahati and others, offering region wise options during the application process.

Selection will be carried out in two stages. Candidates will first appear for an online examination covering basic subjects such as reasoning, numerical ability, English language and general awareness. Those who clear the written test will be called for a Language Proficiency Test to assess their ability to read, write and communicate in the local language of the office they have applied for. The online examination is tentatively scheduled for February 28 and March 1.

The application fee for candidates from the general, OBC and EWS categories has been set at Rs 450 plus applicable taxes, while candidates from SC, ST, PwBD and Ex servicemen categories will need to pay Rs 50 plus taxes. The payment has to be made online at the time of submitting the application. With limited time left and high competition expected, aspirants are advised to carefully read the official notification and complete the registration process well before the deadline.
