Pune: A massive fire broke out in SunShree Building, a prominent residential complex in Kondhwa, around 3:30 PM today. While the fire department's quick action prevented further damage, one woman tragically lost her life, and two others sustained injuries.

The incident took place at a residential complex on NIBM Road, where residents noticed thick smoke and flames spreading rapidly. Upon being alerted, the fire department immediately dispatched three fire engines, and firefighters began operations to contain the blaze and rescue those trapped inside.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but preliminary suspicions indicate that a short circuit or gas leak may have triggered the flames. A technical team of electrical engineers has arrived at the site for a thorough examination.

Firefighters successfully evacuated several residents from the affected floors and worked swiftly to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the building. Large amounts of water and fire-retardant materials were used in the operation. Meanwhile, emergency medical teams transported the injured victims to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.

While the fire has been brought under control, local residents have expressed concerns over safety protocols in the building. Some residents have raised questions about whether adequate fire safety measures were in place and whether proper firefighting equipment was accessible within the premises.
