Pune and surrounding districts are once again experiencing intense cold as minimum temperatures dip below 10 degrees Celsius. Over the past 24 hours, Haveli and the NDA area recorded the lowest temperatures in the region at 8°C. This sudden drop has left residents bundling up against the biting cold, which is accompanied by dense fog in the early mornings.

Other areas, including Shirur, Baramati, Shivajinagar, and Talegaon, also reported significant drops, with minimum temperatures hovering around 9°C. Meanwhile, Pashan, Malin, Rajgurunagar, and Indapur witnessed temperatures between 10°C and 12°C, while Koregaon Park and Magarpatta experienced milder conditions at 14°C and 16°C, respectively.

The return of chilly weather comes after a brief respite caused by unseasonal rains earlier. With the temperature continuing to dip, Pune residents are bracing themselves for more cold nights and foggy mornings.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported a 2–3°C decrease in minimum temperatures across most parts of Pune and its district, with some areas seeing a marginal drop of 1–2°C. The sudden change has made the winter season prominent once again, drawing attention to the need for warm clothing and precautions during early morning commutes.
