Poona College organises awareness campaign for Clean Bakri Eid

Pune: Poona College of Arts, Science and Commerce organised Prabhat Feri (Morning March) as a part of their public awareness campaign 'Saaf Suthra Bakri Eid' (Clean Bakri Eid). 

Deputy Commissioner of Police Pravin Munde was present for the march. Students and professors of Poona College participated in the march, carrying placards appealing people to celebrate Bakri Eid while maintaining cleanliness. The campaign will go on until September 4.

Speaking to the students at the occasion, Munde said, "While celebrating the religious festivals, one should also always respect other religions and their festivals. Also, we must cherish the spirit of unity and integrity through our festivals. We need to focus on cleanliness and celebrate a clean Bakri Eid."

The Principal of Poona College Dr Aftan Anwar Sheikh, Vice-Principal Prof. Moinoddin Khan, Prof. Iqbal Sheikh, Police Inspector at Lashkar Police Station Vasant Kunwar, Junior College Supervisor Prof. Meraz-Ul-Haq, etc, were present on the occasion.
