Pune: Quarantined at home, man dies by suicide in Sahakarnagar

Pune: The increasing number of coronavirus patients in Pune city is a challenge in front of the administration. The pandemic has adversely affected the industries and business, which has led to the loss of many jobs and it has resulted in a number of suicides in the past few days.

In one of the shocking incidents that took place in Sahakarnagar area of Pune, a young man who was home quarantined amid testing for COVID-19 died by suicide. The police have identified the deceased as Sandeep Nagnath Bhosale (45), resident of Omkar Park, Sahakarnagar.

According to police officials, “Sandeep was a resident of Shakarnagar who lived with his family. It was deceased Sandeep's father who was infected with coronavirus and later he was also transmitted with the virus and tested positive. But during treatment his father Nagnath died.”

The police informed, “Meanwhile, everyone in Bhosale's family was worried. Sandeep was receiving treatment for COVID-19 and the doctors advised him to stay under home isolation. Sandeep was living in a house in Omkar Society in Padmavati. He was survived by his wife and two children. Meanwhile, when Sandeep's brother came home to Padmavati after breakfast on Monday, he found his brother strangling him on the fan. He was rushed to hospital but later the doctor pronounced him dead.”

Police have speculated that Sandeep Bhosale committed suicide due to depression. Sahakarnagar police is investigating the case.
